The RW-F16 is a low-voltage residential lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) energy storage battery with 16 kWh nominal energy and 14.4 kWh usable energy (@90% DoD). The whole module is non-toxic, non-polluting and environmentally friendly. It has a built-in BMS that manages and monitors cell voltage, current and temperature, and balances cell charging/discharging to extend cycle life. It is used together with a low-voltage hybrid PCS (inverter), PV modules and a generator or utility to form a complete residential storage system.
In a complete system the RW-F16 works with a low-voltage hybrid PCS (charge & discharge), PV modules and a generator or utility. Its nominal voltage is 51.2 V (operating range 44.8~57.6 V). Before connection, please ensure the electrical parameters of the battery system are compatible with the related equipment, and consult your system integrator/installer — the manual prohibits use with a faulty or incompatible power conversion system.
Yes. The RW-F16 supports flexible configuration — multiple batteries can be connected in parallel to expand capacity and power, up to 32 packs in parallel (max. 512 kWh). The battery module communication address auto-networks, making expansion and maintenance easier.
Nominal Energy is 16 kWh and Usable Energy is 14.4 kWh at 90% DoD. The recommended Depth of Discharge is 90%, and round-trip efficiency is 90%.
Max. Continuous Charge/Discharge Current is 160 / 160 A, with a peak of 300 / 300 A for 10 seconds. A restricted-current charging module helps improve battery life.
The RW-F16 is designed for indoor use (enclosure rating IP20) and can be wall-mounted or floor-mounted. Install it in a clean, dry, well-ventilated area that is flat and waterproof, away from direct sunlight, rain, snow, heat/fire sources and flammable or explosive materials. Keep it more than 0.5 m from the PCS air outlet, out of reach of children and pets, and do not cover or wrap the battery case. For floor-mounted installation, follow the manual clearances (e.g. 200 mm / 400 mm).
Charge: 0~55°C; Discharge: -20~55°C; Recommended operating temperature: 15~35°C; Storage temperature: 0~35°C. Relative humidity up to 95% and altitude up to 2000 m. If the ambient temperature is outside the operating range, the battery pack stops operating to protect itself.
The RW-F16 provides CAN2.0 and RS485 communication ports, with auto-networking of the module communication address. It supports remote monitoring and firmware upgrade, and a master LCD indicator shows the SOC (state of charge) and working state.
The RW-F16 uses safe, long-life LiFePO4 chemistry and a built-in BMS that monitors cell voltage, current and temperature and balances the cells. It includes a built-in circuit breaker (125A 2P, 60Vdc) and temperature protection that stops operation if the ambient temperature is out of range. It is certified to UN38.3 and carries an MSDS.
Cycle Life is 6000 cycles (tested at 25±2°C, 0.5C/0.5C, 90% DOD, to 70% EOL), with an energy throughput of 52.5 MWh. LiFePO4 cells have low self-discharge and no memory effect, and the BMS cell balancing helps extend service life.
After the battery product is over-discharged, it is recommended to recharge it within 48 hours to avoid deep-discharge damage.
Dimensions (W/H/D) are 480×830×235 mm (without hanging board and base) and the weight is approximately 122 kg. Because it exceeds 68 kg, the manual recommends handling with 4 persons or a moving device/forklift, using insulated tools and appropriate safety gear.
